Note: This plug-in only works for Final Cut Pro X 10.0.8 and up. If you are working in FCP 7, then the second solution is right for you.

Although Final Cut Pro X tries the best to offer support for Sony’s XAVC codec. However, owing to the computer configuration, operating environment, a lot of users still can not import XAVC videos into FCP. Anyhow the high-definition XAVC format is not ideal for editing and postproduction.
